The Berry Family History
The story of the Berry family is one of resilience, faith, and unity. It begins with our oldest traceable ancestor, William Berry, who was born around 1850 during the era of slavery in Eatonton, Putnam County, Georgia. His life is a testament to the strength of our roots, and from him grew a family that has endured through generations. William married Nance Jones Berry, and together they raised four children:
Gypsy Berry (b. 1870)
Eveline Berry (b. 1874)
Mary Berry (b. 1875)
Howard Berry (b. 1880)
